WHAT
YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HEARING LOSS:
- Hearing loss that develops
later in life usually comes on slowly, is permanent, and often
gets gradually worse with age.
- Most of these losses can
be improved effectively by individually selected, prescribed and
fitted hearing aids.
- Some adults can have their
hearing corrected by an ear physician or surgeon, so it is important
to have an evaluation to make this determination. (Starkey).
- The sound processing technology
and quality of sound of the computerized hearing aid is far superior
to that of conventional hearing aids.
|
COMPUTERIZED
HEARING AMPLIFICATION:
- These hearing aids are
programmed by the Audiologist using a computer to fit your individual
hearing loss.
- Within each separate
program, these hearing aids automatically adjust incoming sounds,
helping to keep loud sounds more comfortable and soft sounds
easier to hear.
- This technology provides
different sound settings that are individually programmed for
everyday environments.
- The leaders in computerized
hearing aid technology are Resound with AT&T technology
and 3M.
- The sound processing
technology and quality of sound of the Computerized hearing
aid is far superior to that of conventional hearing aids.
